quick and boring...
ok, so there's a new look to my blog. yay...i finally got around to fixin' it up all purdy like. or at least, better than it was.
saw 'brokeback mountain' last week sometime...it was "eh". not real great, not real bad. just felt like they were trying too hard.
we're trying out our new crockpot today. we're making beef stew, which is one of my favorite dishes, so it's a good test to see if i like using it or not. we shall see.
wow, this is such an interesting and exciting post isn't it? woo hoo!
alrighty, well it's 5:30 and i'm still in my pj's because my leg has been hurting too bad to stand for too long, but i think i'm going to go try to take a shower and get dressed. later!

let's see if blogger likes me today...
so i've somehow hurt my leg again. except, this time it's not just my knee, no no, it's everything from my hip down to my ankle. sometimes i amaze even myself!
and, since i haven't been able to be very mobile the past couple of days, there's really not a whole heck of a lot to update on.
rob and i have been playing a lot of 'soul calibur III' and 'sonic the hedghog ultimate collection' to pass the time and have fun. unfortunately, he had to go into work today so i've just been trying to clean up the apartment and stuff. i have finally gotten around to starting to organize stuff. all of the kitchen cleaners and laundry stuff and cat food/accessories have now been organized and put away. if only i could find the space for everything else now!
speaking of limited space, tho, rob and i are going to head to the container store this evening to look at storage and organizing solutions. i like our townhome and everything, there's just not a lot of storage space, and the space we do have gets filled up pretty quickly. you would never know it looking in my office area, but i am a total geek for organizational/storage products! the world of plastic totes and desk drawers, cork boards and mail centers, sweater bins, shoe racks and multi-compartment containers excite me to no end. i'm always watching that show on TLC, "Clean Sweep", with my little australian who goes through, throws out, and organizes all the clutter in peoples lives! man i love that show!
ok, confession time over.
tomorrow i'm going to the wonderful town of greenville to spend time with my mommy. i've gotta go pick up my christmas money that my father dropped off, and then my mom and i are going to go shopping and hang out and stuff. i'm gonna take my new camera with me and break it in a bit. just shoot a couple of standard color rolls since i can't go process any b&w til the spring semester starts and the photo lab opens back up.
i started drawing again, the other day. just got the urge outta nowhere and dug out my sketchpad. not a lot came from it...certainly nothing as good as my boobs drawing, but then again, i'm starting to think none of my drawings will ever be as good as that one. truly, my best work.
okie dokie, well i've gotta go check on my laundry and finish the dishes. later!

fag movie of the month...
so every month or so i rent what rob and i lovingly refer to as a "fag movie". and really, it's just that. some movie with fags of either sex being the main or supporting role in, what is usually, but not always, an indie film.
the other nite, when we rented sky high, we also rented a movie called "cowboys and angels". it's a movie by david gleeson, starring two extremely hot irish guys, one of which is gay and the other straight.
i just got done watching it, and i must say that it was definitely one of my favorite fag movies this year. it's a really good artsy fartsyfilm that has a good message and a really good, not overpowering, soundtrack.

quick movie plug...
so we rented the disney movie Sky High the other day, and i must admit to really liking it. suprisingly, rob, too, thought it was really cute. i thought they did a good job making it feel comic-ish without going too over the top, as well as adding in references for adults while still keeping it a kids movie. anyway...just thought i'd share. later!
oh yeah, serenity is out on dvd today!

yawn...
ok, so i just noticed that if you go too far back in my posts, the layout changes and gets all screwy. i really should take the time to fix it, especially given the topic that i'm about to post on, but i really just don't want to. perhaps at some point i might, but i dunno. we shall see.
with that said, on to my real post...
i'm bored.
i realized today that for the next three weeks i have nothing that's required of me to do. i don't have school, i dont' have a job, i don't have kids to watch after...nothing! school doesn't start until the 17th of january. i am supposed to start working for the school's photo lab next semester, but i have no idea when that will actually go into effect, other than not til after january 3rd. it's kind of an odd feeling really.
so what am i to do with myself over the next couple of weeks? i still need to finish unpacking, that's a must, but what else should i do to keep myself entertained? i've been wanting to get into, don't laugh, scrap-booking, but i really don't think that right now is the best time to start a labor intensive project that i will just have to push to the back-burner once school starts up again. no, i want something that i can pick up and put down with ease, and that doesn't demand and/or require time constraints.
i'm all excited because i'm taking a raquetball class next semester, but it's really making me want to start now. so i want something of that sort...not necesarily a sport, but something that i can learn or do or whatever, when i want to, and that can hold my interest for short and long periods of time.
i could always go take pictures, but if i do black and white i won't be able to process the film til the beginning of the semester, and that's no fun. on the other hand, if i do color, then i not only have to pay for the film, but i also have to pay for the processing and prints, and without a job, i don't really feel right paying for that stuff.
there's always video games, but there hasn't been much out there that can hold my attention for very long. PGR2, of course, but there's only so much racing one can do in a day. i never did finish playing through Rygar...it was fun, but it really seemed to get a bit monotonous even just in the few hours i put into it. Soul Calibur II always calls to me, but has the same problem as PGR2...there's only so much ass-whooping a girl can do in a day. i could always install half-life on my comp and stop putting off playing through blue-shift. then again, it's more fun to give rob shit about his game when i still have never played it.
so i dunno. i'm sure i will figure something out, however any suggestions are welcome.
i have to go buy one last gift for rob today. i know i said i was done, but then i found something that i know he would never buy for himself, and that i really want him to have, so he'll just have to deal with it. :) i've been good though, and even with this purchase, i have stayed way under my budget that i set for myself this year. trust me...that's a big feat for me. :)
alrighty, well it's lunch time. later!

i only *thought* we were going to hang stockings...
ok, so i'd forgotten that last nite was the christmas party for gearbox. i'm not really much of one for industry parties, or company parties, or really, parties at all for that matter. anyway, i figured that rob should at least make an appearance there since he does have to see some of those people five days a week. so we went, and it was...well, everything we basically expected it to be. luckily we got to sit with sean and jen (and jen's daughter) so that at least made the evening tolerable. sean took it upon himself to get drunk...which took exactly 1 long island iced tea (who am i kidding, i would've been gone at that point too) so that was at least entertaining.
the food was "eh, ok", and the whole present process was extremely painful...rob ended up with a few box sets of cartoons on dvd...the only of which was worth anything was ren and stimpy. anyway...we left early, so i'm sure we looked like dicks, but really...who cares? not us.
in other news, rob and i went and saw Narnia today. it was decent. not great, but not completely lame either. the whole outting really reinforced why we never want to have kids...so that was good. :)
so i think i'm going to go pour a glass of eggnog and then take a bath and chill out for the rest of the nite. we bought the movie American Splendor the other day, so i may make rob watch that, or we still have last week's smackdown! to watch so who knows. or maybe we'll get crazy and watch both! *gasp* hehe, alrighty, well later!

final final, and a christmas story...
so i had my last final today at school. it was the dreaded math final. bleh. i was holding an 83 in the class fairly firmly, but i don't know what this test will do to that grade. hopefully i did ok tho, and it will either stay at a low B or even maybe go up a little. -shrug- i really don't care as long as i pass the course. that's really all that matters. :)
in other news, booger has seemingly calmed down a bit. i think her heat has relinquished, at least for the time being. she is currently lieing behind me, squished between the chair and my back.
also, i have finished my christmas shopping for rob! yay! his presents are wrapped, finally, and waiting to be put under the tree...that is, once i've finished cleaning the cat puke off the tree stand wrap. all that's left to do now is remove the prices from his stocking stuffers and figure out some way of keeping the stocking hanging without weighing it down too much. we have a rule when it comes to stockings for each other. stockings are solely for entertainment and, aside from usually one serious gift, must be filled only with silly, gag-gift like items. ya know, the small little dollar store gifts that make you think of the other person, no matter how silly it is. and then we add candy for a bit of sweetness and bottom filler...of the stocking i mean...tho, it probably fills that bottom too.
last year was the first year rob and i really celebrated christmas together. i suprised him, not only with an xbox, but also with a stocking full of silly things, the most memorable of which was a small stuffed frog with a lazy eye. he was lovingly named ferdinand, and he still sleeps beside or in the bed every nite...however, usually with me, as rob is not much for stuffed animals. so this year will be the first for both of us to have stockings. rob got me a lovely green stocking at target, and we pulled his out of the box, and i think we shall be hanging them tonite!
ok, well enough of that holiday hooplah. i have to go pick up my last check from earthbound, but first, dr. phil! later!

they grow up so fast...
so our youngest kitty has recently gone into heat. this means sleepless nites of her meowing at the bottom of the stairs non-stop for hours on end, and walking around coo-ing like a dove for no apparent reason. macaroni finally had enough of her sticking her rump in her face, yesterday, and decided to put her in her place. it was the first time i've ever had to yell at mac for being mean.
so while all of this is amusing and annoying all at the same time, it's also makes me a bit nostalgic.
frequent commentor, dread pirate, gave booger to rob and me when she was just a kitten. she was a small little furball with no sense of balance or fear for that matter. (btw, those two combined make for some hilarious moments). however, the last time she went to the vet, we took macaroni as well, and found out that they weigh exactly the same amount. fine and dandy right? wrong...mac is 8 years old and fully grown, whereas booger is 6 months old and still has quite a bit of growing to do. she's no longer a cute little curious and mischeivious lap furball. nope, she's now she's a kitty on the verge of adulthood who's body is growing fast than she knows what to do with it, and who finds herself in odd predicaments when not being able to fit into tight places which not but two or three weeks ago she could still fit. her energy hasn't lessened at all, however now she's gained the balance and knowledge of how to use that energy and new-found strength to get into things that, both rob and i really wish she wouldn't. she's become insanely smart, learning how to properly open cabinet doors (by standing up and pulling them open with her paws as she walks backwards holding on to them), and yet we still get great amusement out of her bafflement when it comes to mirrors.
she's in that awkward little in-between stage of growing where she's no longer still a kitten, but isn't quite an adult yet either. and the only words of comfort i have for her, as she sits here between my arms as i type, are:
don't worry little one, after new years you can say bye bye to those mean old ovaries.

hey look! i didn't die!...
yay! i'm back from indy! actually, we got back monday nite...i've just been too lazy to post about it :)
anyway, the trip was really great. i got to meet all of rob's family, and spend time with them, and eat a lot of really good food (his mom is an awesome cook!) and watch some really bad t.v. and see real snow! that pretty much sums up our entire stay there really.
nothing too spectacular happened. well, that is, after we got there. it was getting there that has a story of it's own.
we were supposed to be taking off from DFW airport at 5:10p.m. on friday. so rob and i get to the airport about an hour ahead of time, check in, go through security, etc etc... so we get to our terminal and find some seats to just chill out til the plane arrives and stuff. so time goes by and we're noticing that there isn't a plane at the gate, and it's about 30 minutes or so before take off. so we check the monitors and they say that our flight is still "on time" so we return to our seats. about 20 minutes or so before take-off, the intercom comes on and informs us that our plane is still in memphis! so they were going to "try and find us another plane" which makes absolutely no sense. anyway, to cut an entirely too long story short, they moved us to another gate for holding, and at one point decided not to give us any updates what-so-ever for about an hour and a half, and then, four and a half hours after our original departure time our plane arrives from memphis (the poor people on that flight had to stay on the plane for 45 minutes because the gate was over-booked with other planes boarding), and we finally got to depart at about 9p.m. or so.
luckily, the trip back was less than uneventful.
anyway, i've got some pictures that i will be posting at some point. i was actually brave and sat by the window on the plane so i have some pictures from the air that are pretty neat.
anyway. i've gotta go grab some grub and then back to finishing up some math homework so i don't fail my course. later!

we think it's something i ate...
i am so sick of not being able to depend on people. i'm sick of people who call others friends, and then turn their backs on them.
rob found out today that someone he called a friend for the past six or seven years was in town recently and actually called one of their mutual friends to go hang out, but yet, we never heard from him. normally, this wouldn't be a big deal, but this particular person works for the same company john works for, and look at what wonders that company and the fucktard behind it did for our friendship! it makes me livid to think of what tools these people have become to the money and the man they work for. in a matter of a year this asshole came into peoples lives and tore apart friendships, relationships - personal and professional, all that had lasted years before he showed up. then again, on the other side of the fence, one could argue that these people were never really committed to those relationships if they were so willing to let one man with a lot of money, rip them apart.
then there's the whole tiffani ordeal. someone whom i trusted, respected and cared for. someone who i thought was above playing high school games. i wrote her an email the other day explaining my position on the whole thing. needless to say, i haven't heard back from her.
i look back at my life and it's filled with these people. it makes me really appreciate the one person in my life that i know i can count on. luckily, he feels the same about me. he told me earlier that if these people were dumb enough to let someone else ruin their relationships, then fuck'em, because we don't need people like that in our lives. and he's right. we don't.
so from now on, if you're a part of my life it's because you want to be. it's because you're not a shallow, hypocritical pussy who turns their backs on someone for money. it's because you're willing to stick up for the ones you care about, and are willing to let me do the same.
with that said, i'm going back to bed. i spent last night power-vomitting, and haven't felt real great today either. yay for getting sick right before going out of town! hopefully, it'll pass by tomorrow. we think it was the chipotle we had for dinner last nite. sometimes it's the yummy things that get ya...

booger typed my subject title...
ok ok...so "tomorrow" turned into three days later...but gimmie a break, i'm a busy grrl!
well rob and i haven't gone to get our pictures with santa done yet. we decided that the first weekend malls had santa was probably not the best time to go. so we're probably going to try to go either tomorrow or thursday.
tomorrow both of the kitties have vet appointments. booger has to get the rest of her shots, and macaroni has something of an eye infection going on, which i really don't want booger to get too. booger has gotten so big! she's already bigger than macaroni (who is small because of deformities, but is still full grown) and she's at the point now where her body is still growing but her head seems to have stopped, at least for the time being. she's definitely a character tho. we've had to start keeping all of the toilet lids down because otherwise you'd walk in and find her with her two front paws and her head down in the bowl drinking the water....eeewww. so now she just sits on the side of the shower while you're in it, and then once you get out, she jumps right in to drink any water that might still be in the bottom of the tub. she's definitely appropriately named. (on a side note, she's currently purring so loud and hard that her ears are visibly vibrating)
so saturday nite rob and i turned on some christmas music, roasted chestnuts in the oven, and put up our new christmas tree. we had gone to the dollar store and bought some cute little ornaments that we hung on it, and it looks really cute! the chestnuts, however, were definitely an...er...experience to say the least. i've had them in the past, and really liked them, but it's been a couple of years since then, and well...let's just say this time around was a bit different. i think we decided that they had gotten overcooked, but i dunno...we still have a bag of them left, so we may try again in a week or so. ya know, after i've regained the courage to try again. :)
ok, so apparently it's really freaking cold in indiana right now. in the words of carlito: that's not cool. i'm thinkin i need to stock up on the thermal underwear before heading up there. i did buy some gloves, however. and real ones too...not just those little cotton "gloves".
well i have a ton of crap to get done today. i have to do laundry and finish putting all of it up. i absolutely have to get up to the photo lab today and finish flattening and matting all of my prints, since they're due tomorrow! i need to go to the store and buy some paper towels and an orange or two because tonite i have to make cookies for class tomorrow and for people at rob's office because, well, i'm nice like that. i'm making these chocolate orange cookies...they just sounded good. they call for white chocolate, but i don't like white chocolate, so i'm just making normal chocolate ones. yum! i also have to do some math homework online so i can get all of it done before leaving on friday. ok, well rather than sitting here talking about it, i guess i should get started on it. have a good one everyone! later!

infinite ramblings...
i always start these things off with so much to post about, but by half way through them i lose the energy and/or interest in really seeing them through. with that said, i give you another half-assed post!
so let's see here. thursday i registered for classes for the spring 2006 semester at quad-c. i'll be taking 10 hours which include the following classes:
Photography II - with my wonderful prof. that i'm taking now
English 1302 - meh, i need to get back into writing, and figure this is the easiest way to do so
History 1302 - with the prof. that is freaking awesome (see: easy class)
and last but not least
Beginning Raquetball - because i need a phys.ed. class
so i'm really going to try and concentrate on school and really just look for a part time job with somewhere between 20 and 30 hours a week, but absolutely no more than 30. i just don't want to be a career student.
in other news
rob and i are going to go get our pictures taken with santa tomorrow! i figure it's a funny, thoughtful, and inexpensive gift for his and my mommy for christmas. don't get me wrong, it's not the only thing i'm getting them, but i just thought it was funny. plus, last year his mom and sister bought him this lamp that was made from the foot/ankle part of a deer...and yes, it was real! so...i think she'll at least appreciate the humor in it if nothing else. and my mom will laugh and be glad that she finally has a picture of us together.
speaking of his family, we're flying up to indiana next friday. i'm so nervous. i hate flying, and i don't like the whole having to meet his family and stuff, but at the same time i'm really excited because i've never been to indiana, and i do want to meet his family, i just don't want to go through that whole "getting to know you" process. -shrug- it'll be fine i'm sure...at least that's what he keeps telling me. we'll see. the way i look at it is, it can't be any worse than my ex's family...they were sweet, don't get me wrong, but completely insane (i know, and my family's not? yeah.), and i never really felt like i was really accepted for who i am. rob assures me that his mom and family are nothing like that, and will love me because he loves me. yay! :D
i got the rest of my supplies today for my photography final project, which is good because i've got to get my prof. to show me how to do the dry mounting matting process on monday. i've also gotta remember to take to c.d.'s to her and get my other two that she already has back from her. turns out we like a lot of the same music and bands, but she hasn't heard some newer stuff (like r.e.m., and the shins, etc...) so i've been loaning her c.d.'s to check 'em out.
oh yeah! shit, i've gotta go find a recipe or whatever for oven roasting chesnuts. we went to whole foods tonite and bought 3lbs. of chestnuts because i've been craving them, but i have no idea how to prepare them. hmm...i'm on a mission...
i'm sure there'll be more tomorrow...later!

Eddie Guerrero: 1967 - 2005...
eddie guerrero died sunday morning. he was 38 years old.
if you don't know who he is, he was one of the best, most talented wrestlers in the WWE. the cause of death is unknown at this time, but many seem to think it was heart failure and not drug related (as guerrero had a battle with drug and alcohol addiction in his past, but had been clean for four years now).
they did a tribute show to him last night on RAW. the one image that really sticks out was at the beginning of the show every wrestler from both brands (smackdown! and RAW) were out on the ramp and the camera was panning over all of them, and they got to the big show, whom mind you, is 7ft tall 500lbs, and this giant of a man was just bawling his eyes out.
i got to see eddie wrestle twice at live events. he was an amazing technical wrestler who wasn't afraid to put his body on the line and put everything he had out there for the fans to see. he could make you love him or hate him in a seconds time, but no matter whether he was playing the heel or face, he was always a favorite amongst fans.
eddie was from el paso, texas and was a fourth generation wrestler, basically being born into the wrestling world. he was the first luchadore wrestler to ever hold a professional title belt which he achieved at wrestlemania 20 in 2004.

as requested...
here are my answers to that dumb quiz:
1.) Tiger, Horse, Cow, Sheep, Pig
2.) Loyal, Independent, Creepy, Awake, Calm.
3.) Mel, Chuck, Monica, Kat & John, Rob.
i know you were only supposed to pick one person for each color, but in all honesty, both of those people came rushing into my head at the same time with the same amount of eagerness or whatever, so maybe i broke the rules, but it wouldn't be the first time.

sharing the love...
so you know those stupid spam emails you get that are usually sent to you by your mom who doesn't really know what spam is in the first place, and it's those tests where they tell you to put the answers in order of importance to you based on your first instinct, and at the end of the test you're to make a wish and it will come true in however many days if you send that email to however many people? ok, well i got one of those dreaded emails from my mom about two or three days ago, and figure, what the hell i'm bored i'll play along, well, at least as far as the test goes. so here's the test, minus all the fluffy wish crap:
(1) Put the following 5 animals in the order of your preference:
Cow, Tiger, Sheep, Horse, Pig
(2) Write one word that describes each one of the following:
Dog, Cat, Rat,Coffee, Sea
(3) Think of someone, who also knows you and is important to you, which you can relate them to the following colors. Do not repeat your answer twice.
Name just one person for each color:
Yellow, Orange, Red, White, Green
ok, so you do that one by one and then after you do that, you read what each question signifies. so here's that part:
(1) This will define your priorities in your life.
Cow Signifies CAREER
Tiger Signifies PRIDE
Sheep Signifies LOVE
Horse Signifies FAMILY
Pig Signifies MONEY
(2) Your description of dog implies your own personality.
Your description of cat implies the personality of your partner.
Your description of rat implies the personality of your enemies.
Your description of coffee is how you interpret sex.
Your description of the sea implies your own life.
(3) Yellow: Someone you will never forget
Orange: Someone you consider your true friend
Red: Someone that you really love
White: Your twin soul
Green: Someone that you will remember for the rest of your life
ok, so it's kinda fun or whatever, and i liked all the answers that i got for all of the questions except for the last one about colors. that was really the only one where it was obvious that someone just took the stereotypical "what colors mean" guide and pasted it there. for me, the Yellow person *might* be right. the Orange person was way off. the Red person was the exact opposite...i went for more of the "seeing red" rather than red is for roses and love...basically i want to kill that person. White i can almost agree with, and Green is good, but that person really should have, by their definition, been the Red person, but i chose green because it's both of ours favorite color.
so there ya go. have fun. i've gotta go to class now! later!

evaporated milk is fattening...
yesterday was awesome!
first, rob and i went and had lunch at chili's, which was very yummy, and our waitress there was like, "so would y'all like a margarita or shot of tequila to drink?" and it was like 1:30 in the afternoon. it made us laugh.
from there we went to the townhomes that we're going to move into. we walked through a one bedroom just to get an idea of what the inside looks like, and then got the application and everything to bring home and look over. we're getting a two bedroom, one and a half bath that's two story and seems pretty nice. plus, it's in an extremely good location for all of our needs.
so then we came home and i grabbed the digital camera and my satchel, and we went and rode the dart rail for the rest of the afternoon, and took pictures and just hung out. the only downside to that was apparently the cotton bowl or whatever was yesterday. i dunno, something was because there were all of these damn UT and OU shirted people riding the rail and it made it very crowded and extremely annoying. oh, and i almost elbowed this girl in the face because she was being a little shit.
all of that was fun, but then we were hungry and i wanted sushi, but i was too tired to drive all the way out to osaka, so we decided to just come home and make some food. so we got home, and decided to make grilled cheese sandwiches and split pea soup. it was sooooo gooooooooood!!!! it made me really happy! rob made the sandwiches and i made the soup, and it was absolutely delicious. so we watched an episode of firefly while we ate, and then we decided to make pumpkin pie! so we started making that, and then while it was cooking in the oven we watched an episode of lois and clark, and then it was ready to cool, so while it was cooling we played burnout 3! oh, and somewhere in there i made coffee, and we had coffee and donuts that were really yummy together as well.
so now our kitchen smells like thanksgiving/christmas because we baked pumpkin pie, and because we bought one of those airwick plug-in scented oil things, and we currently have in the "harvest spice" scent, which is basically apple cinnamon, and it smells so good!
whew...that was a lot of stuff. we had a very eventful and enjoyable day! and i'm in a good mood! oh, and i'm going to go eat the rest of my cajun chicken pasta that is left over from chili's yesterday! lots of rambling that i'm sure makes no sense, but that's ok, because i'm happy :D later!

the versatile cleaning tool...
ok, it's been a couple of days, i know, but those couple of days have been very stressful, so i don't wanna hear it!
here are some of the highlights of RAW that i never got around to posting:
*rowdy roddy piper and mick foley in the same ring at the same time.
*the entire mcmahon family getting stunnered by the texas rattlesnake stone cold steve austin. (this includes, in order: vince, shane o'mac, stephanie, and linda)
*hulk hogan announcing his next match against stone cold.
*the RAW vs. Smackdown! rumble that took place at the very end, and big show hoisting john cena onto his shoulders.
*batista power bombing viscera during the rumble.
*seeing all of the "legends" together in the ring, and snuka diving off the top rope finishing off rob conway, after harley race and arn anderson each decked him, dusty rhodes took him to the mat with a bionic elbow, and kevin von erich clamped him in the claw.
some of the downers of the show were:
*the angle vs. hbk match - first the match was too long, and then it concluded in a draw (the crowd quickly began chanting bullshit as soon as the bell rang)
*the edge vs. hardy match - this one had two problems with it. 1) it was already spoiled by wwe when they advertised a future match that was supposed to include hardy, but changed when they decided to take the storyline another way, and they changed the advertising. 2) there was no heat to this match...even when hardy lost and was "leaving RAW for good"...it was notthe match it should have been.
*the smackdown! match not happening (however, this was nearly redeemed by having the brawl at the end of the show).
*randy orton coming out during the piper/foley segment - throwing him into the mix was ridiculous. the only reason they should have done this was if they were planning on having undertaker show up and take orton out after orton took out mick and piper. but that didn't happen, so it was dumb.
*not having undertaker there. for christs sake it texas...you can't not have undertaker!!! plus, there was no second best either...that being kane...but he's out on injury leave, so i can forgive that.
anyway...in other news...
school is still school. i passed my math test which is good. photography is still stressful, but still fun as well. i was having a bit of trouble earlier in the week finding the motivation to continue with it, because i have a problem of comparing myself to closely to others, and expecting way too much out of myself. but rob helped me through that, so now i'm good again.
also...IT'S ACTUALLY COLD OUTSIDE!!! well, at least it's chilly. i'll take it tho. i get to wear a sweater and a beanie, and drink a pumpkin latte!!! and all of that is good :)
oh, i was supposed to start training for my new job today, but it meant driving over to burleson, which was not my idea of fun or being worth my time, so i called my boss and told him that that was just not going to be possible. i asked if there was any possible way that i could be trained over here at our store once it opens, and he agreed to it, so that solves that problem, and takes care of a lot of the stress that i've been dealing with this week. yay!
ok, well since my day has freed up i think i'm going to try and be productive and do something with it. of course, that means moving a sleeping booger off of my desk/arm, which i don't think that she's going to be too happy about, but she can deal with it. later!

holy shit, holy shit, holy shit...
that was f*ing awesome...
i'm tired, deaf, and voiceless...and happy :)
that was one hell of a show. i got a shirt...unfortunately not a 'hot rod' shirt because they only had L, and XL in them (same for the mick foley shirt i wanted) but instead i got an official homecoming shirt because they actually had small in it. i was thinking about getting an hbk hat, but rob talked me out of it. probably for the best since i don't even really like the guy :)
anyway...we took two disposable cameras and two digital camera cards worth of pictures, so at some point i will have those posted. no promises on when, but i'll get it done. geeeeeeeze that was fun.
and as for something completely off topic that i guess i need to take of...
---------i wrote you an email but don't know that you would even read it, so if not, i'll say it here so that you can't say i was one of "those" people...happy fuckin birthday douchebag...and i mean that in the absolute most sincere, sentimental and sappy way as possible...so don't take it so seriously this time...--------------
ok, it's bed time now. nite!

movies, games and hurricanes...
...oh my!
so this weekend has been fairly decent.
yesterday i ended up working that photography job i mentioned a few days ago. i had to be there at 8a.m., and after a mix-up of where i was supposed to be, i found the place, and worked til about 3p.m. it was a lot of work, but it was really fun, and i really look forward to working with them in the future. the wind caused a huge problem, seeing as how we were right in the middle of about four baseball fields, and so i came home with a nice orange tint to my skin and clothes. regardless, it was awesome.
after i got home and showered, rob and i went out. first we went to starbucks to get drinks and pumpkin loaf (the best food in the world). i ended up getting a pumpkin spice latte. it was delicious. from there we went to fry's so rob could pick up some stuff he's been wanting/needing. then we were on to best buy because fry's didn't have the new katamari game, so bb had it and we also picked up the complete first season of 'lois and clark: the new adventures of superman' dvd box set. i love that show! so then i had talked rob into finally making the trip out to the ikea store that opened over in frisco a month or two back. so we headed out there, and walked around for a bit. we found a couple of bed frames that we really like, and some other stuff, however, unlike everyone else that i know, we actually walked out of there without purchasing a single item. go us! :D
so we came home, ordered some olive garden to go (which was just absolutely incredibly delicious) and watched some lois and clark goodness. it was a really good day.
i think today is going to be a lot more laid back. just rob and i playing games, watching movies, and eating left-overs. i need to put my whole photography project together and get it ready to go for class tomorrow, but that's all that i really need to do today. although, i could go deposit my check and not feel so broke anymore, but why waste the gas? :) anyway, booger is tearing stuff up, so i need to go. hope everyone's weekend has been as enjoyable. later!

good mood post...
i just found the following information about the RAW show that rob and i will be attending on Oct. 3rd:
"WWE Legends confirmed for the show as well include "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Jimmy Hart (who is the manager for the current NWA World Tag Team Champions The Naturals in TNA), Hillbilly Jim, Superstar Billy Graham, The Iron Sheik, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Fabulous Moolah, Mae Young, Harley Race, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, Chief Jay Strongbow, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Nikolai Volkoff and Koko B. Ware."
how fucking sweet is that shit?! i am so freaking excited!!!!!!!!!!!
in other news, i got all of my photography work done earlier today. i spent three hours in the lab, and realized just how much i love doing that stuff. it's funny, because i'm not a patient person, but when it comes to doing that stuff, i become extremely laid back and chilled about all the wait times on doing stuff. i absolutely love it and i think i've finally found my calling. plus, everyone in my class comes to me for help which is just awesome, and makes me feel really good about myself and my work. yay!!!!! oh! plus, the other day we had to put our photograms up on the viewing board, and everyone had to critisize them and stuff, and the first four or five people who spoke pointed out mine saying that that was their favorite! :D yay!!!!!
ok, well i am off to take the rest of the day for myself. i went to bed early last nite, and got up early this morning and am feeling rather well rested and good, so i'm going to try and get some stuff around here done :) later!

that's how i'm doing photos from now on. it's just easier than messing with formatting them in this window and hoping that it all turns out ok, and looks decent. so there.
more later.

it's a girl!...
so our beloved booger is a girl. at least we think. who knows! even the vet had trouble telling, and originally thought it was a boy because of how booger looks and acts, but eventually he decided that what we've been calling 'he' is actually a 'she'. but other than that piece of news, all is well with the kitten. she's as healthy as can be, and all agreed that she is, in fact, insane.
in other news, i found out today that my other job won't be starting til october 20th. this is good and bad. first, it's bad because, well, that means no paychecks til sometime after then. it's good tho because it gives me some of the free time i've been wanting to kind of de-stress and have a break from the retail world. it's also good because my sister's birthday is september 30th, my mom's birthday is october 1st, and the coolest thing ever, RAW is october 3rd! so now i just don't have to worry about requesting those days off. :D
so check this out. here's the card for the October 3rd edition of Monday Nite RAW Live, from Dallas, TX. keep in mind that this will be a 3 hour show seeing as how it is the first televised event from Dallas since 2003 *and* it's the first nite of RAW's return to the USA network:
WWE Champion John Cena, Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin,
the return of Triple H, Mick Foley, Mr Mahon, Shawn Michaels,
Shelton Benjamin, the Big Show, Kurt Angle, Ric Flair,
Intercontinental Champion Carlito, the Masterpiece Chris Masters, Edge,
Kane, Lita, Tag Team Champions Hurricane and Rosey, the Heart Throbs and many more.
how in the hell could i not go to that show????? tell me! so yeah, we're going. rob got tickets on saturday, and while they are not the best seats in the world, they are on camera side, and we're not at some weird angle or anything. so w00t! i'm so excited. :D
anyway. i went to bed late and had to get up early, so i'm going to go take a nap i think. i shouldn't, but i probably will. :D later!

massive update...
Ok, so i haven't been the most talkative, nor updative person this week. my apologies. here's what's been going on.
this past week was my last week at work. it went well enough. i set my anger aside and just rolled with the punches, so whatever. as of yesterday at 3p.m. i was officially free of the corporation, and decided to celebrate by spending way too much money.
before work i dropped about $50 on some stuff i've had on hold for awhile, and a really cool wodden statue that i wanted, because i could still get my 50% discount, and i figured why the hell not.
from there, we went to filmdepot, because it's only the coolest place alive, and i bought some film that i need for class, and i also ended up buying a new strap for my camera (the really cool old style hippie ones) and a camera bag because i was lacking one. that stuff was not cheap. while there i also helped out the shop guy by when looking at their assortment of used camera's, by explaining how the internal light meter on a Minolta XG-1 works. since this is my own personal model of camera, i had recently been on a search to figure this problem out, myself. after posting in a minolta forum, and talking with my professor, it became clear that my first assumptions were right, and that the touch sensitive light meter only works in a certain mode. you first set it to that mode, check the light, and then adjust the aperature and shutter speed. so some guy had apparently gone in and was looking at purchasing this minolta xg-1 that filmdepot had, but couldn't get the light meter to work, so the shop owner (who is this very funny and sweet asian man)had gone ahead and marked it down to $100. now that's an amazing deal on a minolta, and had i not already owned that exact model, i would have snatched it up in a second, but i took the time to explain to him how it works and everything, and he was very thankful, and ended up repricing it for whatever it was originally priced at. i rule :D
from there we went to hobbytown usa off of walnut hill and rob bought some oil or something for his r/c car. then on the way back into town we decided to stop at a different hobby store so that rob could look for some steering linkage that the other store didn't have. luckily these people had it and so he was able to finish his car last nite. it's so freaking fast, it's awesome.
anyway, while we were at filmdepot i was looking for light meters because i don't neccesarily trust the ones on either of my camera's. well, the only ones that they had were analog and didn't seem to be in complete working order, so rob and i talked and decided that i could probably find one online for cheaper and that was digital and working. so here's the thing...cheaper wasn't neccesarily the case. after looking around on a few websites it became obvious that this item is not something you just go "pick up". minolta brands started around $450 and went from there. so i decided to try ebay, because hell, you can find anything there. sure enough, i found a Minolta Auto Meter III with a buy now price of $87.95. so i bought it. i had to create an ebay and paypal account, but alas, just another step towards fully bringing myself into this century. :D the next step? well according to jason, Netflix is my final frontier.
anyway, so that's what's been going on really. booger has a vet appointment tomorrow to get his first round of shots, and maybe to look at getting him declawed, but we'll see about that. rob and i have a dinner to go to tonite which should be interesting. and as for me personally, i am now officially unemployed until my new store is finished being built. it's a bizarre feeling, but kind of freeing also. probably won't be once i run out of cash tho :D

bored...
| Your Birthdate: March 20 |
![]() You have a warmhearted nature and emotional understanding that constantly seeks affection. You are very prone to become depressed and moody, as emotions can turn inward and cause anxiety and mental turmoil. It can be hard for you to bounce back to reality when depression sets in. When things are going well, you can go just as far the other way and become extremely affectionate. |

it's done...
anyway, that's 'booger' and rob playing earlier today. and yes, we have renamed him 'booger' because, well, let's face it...he just is one. speaking of which, he's on my desk right now causing much difficulty to my typing.
as for today, i finally gave my two weeks notice at work. yay! september 10th is my last day there. it's a saturday so i'm sure there will be much embarrasment on my behalf.
quick side note: rob and i just got the exact same fortune with the exact same numbers on the back. weeeirded oooout.
anyway. work went fairly well today. a good time was had by all.
oh, and lastly, here's a picture of the youngest boyo's birthday party the other day:

a picture of my troubles...
ok, so this is the little terror. we haven't named him yet, but right now a few options are:booger, loki, and hermes.
feel free to post a comment and let us know which would be your choice, or if you have even a better name for this troublesome little feline.
more later. i just wanted to get this up so i could send my mom a pic of the cat.
later.

ramblings of a tired mind...
today was long and boring. i hate doing body jewelry at work. it's a pain in the ass.anyway. this is a picture of my cat, macaroni, after one of her most dreaded activities...a bath. you can see that she is not very happy at all. but still, she's a cutie.
there's not really a whole heck of a lot to report on today. i have a very important phone call to make in the morning, that will decide my employment fate for the next little bit. i've gotta ask some very important questions that will push me one way or the other depending on the answers i get. more on that tomorrow i'm sure.
ok, so i have this new love for pudding. i don't know why, but it's become my favorite sweet snack thing just recently. so we bought some cheesecake flavored pudding last time we got groceries, and ugh...just don't. there are some things that are good when flavored like cheesecake...pudding is not one of those things. it would probably be really good with some strawberries or raspberries or something...but it is incredibly nasty otherwise. very sad was i.
man, i've really gotta put up my laundry and clean off my desk. i have stuff that i bought a couple of weeks ago that are still sitting in bags because i don't have anywhere to put them. i did finally get my lamp on my desk and plugged in, but it still has the tags on it. i've really got to get some of this film developed but i'm lazy. oh yeah! i made this really kick ass necklace the other day and tiffani saw it today and complimented me on it. that really means something coming from her. made me feel really good.
okie dokie. it's bedtime for bonzo. nitey nite nite.

warning: dyke induced post ahead...
this picture is from when rob and i went to san antonio. we had a really good time touring some really awesome caves. i was just bored and looking through all of the pictures from the trip and figured i'd post one.today wasn't bad at all. i took some benadryl before going to bed last nite and boy did it kick me in the teeth. i didn't get up past noon today when rob came in and basically had to wrestle me to even wake me up. i was out of it. however, the sleep was good sleep, so i felt a lot better today. we ended up going out and running some errands, eating at souper salad (yummies), and then coming home to watch my monday nite RAW episode.
RAW was suprisingly good tonite. hbk cut a suprisingly well done promo for summerslam that included him admitting that he screwed bret "the hitman" hart, and playing a joke on the entire viewing audience by playing the hitman's intro music/video and acting really scared that hart might actually come out and kick his ass. note: they were in montreal, canada...home of the oh so contreversial and memorable 1997 summerslam screw job. anyway, the only downside to the whole thing was that it went on for the first 25 minutes of the two hour show, but once shawn michael's starts "jacking his jaw," as rob would say, he just doesn't know when to quit. or, in all actuality, when the wwe doesn't have any better matches to air, they give the mic to the showstopper.
in other news, i still haven't decided whether or not to take that job. rob and i talked about it today, and he doesn't know what i should do. he doesn't want to push me in either direction because he doesn't know which would be better for me. unfortunately, neither do i, but i guess that's something i'm going to have to figure out. but now, it's time for sleepy sleep. later!

You are now entering...
the world and everyday life of el.
welcome. you break it you buy it.
do not touch the balls on the foutains.
do not run in my store.
and do not abuse the hermit crabs.
otherwise, hang around, chill out, and comment whenever
you feel the urge.
