Hey let me know how you like it - I love my minolta slr (non-digital) and have been looking to upgrade.
Do you know if my minolta lenses I have now would be compatible?
it depends...what model are you currently using, and what model are you looking to move to?
if you are looking to purchase a model that includes an auto-focusing feature, then your current lenses must be compatible with that.
i love minolta, and am a complete whore for them...however, i must say that if you are looking to upgrade, and may purchase a digital slr in the future as well, i would have to fold and go with the market beast canon...they were the first brand to make their lenses compatible between their 35mm and digital slr cameras.
it's not something i'm willing to do just yet, but when i move up to the high-end cameras, i will unfortunately have to swallow my minolta pride and be consumed by the dark side.
